Every September, our Scholastic Book Fair turns into one of the most exciting weeks on our calendar. From September 14 through September 18, our children get to explore new books and pick out stories that feel just right for them.
Reading together builds language and curiosity. It also builds something deeper: a lifelong love of stories. Every book at our fair is chosen with young readers in mind, so families can trust that each title fits the age and stage of our children. You will not find chapter books on our shelves, only stories built for little listeners and early readers.
One of our favorite parts of Book Fair week is watching our children shop for themselves. Families can set up an e-wallet ahead of time, and from there, each child gets to choose their own books during their class visit. There is real joy in watching a child hold a stack of books and pick the one that feels most like theirs.
Our donation station keeps this experience open to every child. Families who give to that fund help make sure a child who might not otherwise get to choose a book still walks away with one. NCP covers the rest, so no child goes without.
Families are also welcome to shop with their child outside of the scheduled class visit. Our fair stays open during drop off from 7 to 9 in the morning and pickup from 3 to 6 in the evening, so there is more than one way to be part of the week.
This week gives our children a chance to fall in love with reading, one story at a time.
